OddzOn tapped an old military patent for an airfoil-based weapon launcher to inspire a new toy. The challenge was to develop a projectile toy that maximizes shooting range for fun, yet minimizes impact for safety.
Function helped create a toy that launches soft aerodynamic elastomer rings. The rings fly in a spinning motion to maximize distance and accuracy. The unit met all consumer safety requirements, achieved cost targets, and spawned a complete line of toys.
